Dermaplaning helps with several skin concerns by exfoliating the top layer of dead skin cells and removing fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It can help with:
- Smoother skin texture
- Brighter complexion
- Improved product absorption
- Reduced appearance of fine lines
- Minimized appearance of acne scars
- Flawless makeup application
It’s a gentle, non-invasive treatment, but not ideal if you have active acne or very sensitive skin.
Usually every 4-6 weeks.
Dermaplaning generally has little to no downtime, making it a popular treatment for a quick skin refresh. However, there are a few important aftercare considerations and mild side effects to be aware of:
- Mild redness: Your skin might be slightly pink or feel sensitive for a few hours afterward (similar to a light sunburn).
- Smooth, glowing skin: Most people notice immediate results—softer texture and brighter appearance.
- Increased product absorption: Your skin may absorb serums more effectively right after the treatment.
Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive cosmetic procedure that gently exfoliates the outermost layer of your skin to reveal a smoother, more radiant complexion underneath. Think of it as a deep polish for your face — like buffing away dullness to let your natural glow shine through.
Using a wand with a diamond-coated tip to gently abrade the skin while suctioning away debris.
Microdermabrasion can help:
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
- Minimize age spots, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation
- Improve acne scars and enlarged pores
- Even out skin tone and texture
- Stimulate collagen production for firmer skin
Temporary redness, dryness, or sensitivity. Increased sun sensitivity — sunscreen is a must!
Normal Skin or Maintenance: Every 4 weeks.
Acne-Prone or Oily Skin: Every 2 to 3 weeks (under professional guidance).
Sensitive Skin: Every 4 to 6 weeks, or less frequently.
Anti-Aging or Hyperpigmentation Treatment: A series of treatments every 2 weeks for a few months, then maintenance once a month.
Multiple sessions (often 4–6) are usually needed for best results.
Nano-needling is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses a device with tiny, silicone or stainless steel “nano” tips (not actual needles) to gently exfoliate the skin and enhance product absorption—without puncturing the skin or causing pain or downtime.
A nano-needling pen or device creates micro-channels on the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum).
These channels temporarily increase skin permeability, allowing serums, peptides, and nutrients to penetrate more deeply.
The process stimulates cell turnover and can help promote collagen production over time.
- Brightens dull skin
- Improves product absorption
- Softens fine lines
- Smooths texture
- Helps with mild hyperpigmentation
- Can be used more frequently than microneedling (even weekly)
You can typically receive nano-needling treatments every 1 to 2 weeks, depending on your skin type, goals, and how your skin responds.
General Frequency Guidelines:
- Normal to resilient skin: Every 7 to 14 days
- Sensitive or reactive skin: Every 2 to 3 weeks or as tolerated
- For best results: A series of 4 to 8 weekly sessions, followed by monthly maintenance for lasting results.
